Velvet Recall operates as a native Android application leveraging standard touch event handlers for card interaction. The game engine processes match validation through state comparison algorithms that track revealed card positions within the 4×3 array structure. Upon successful pair identification, the system removes matched elements from active play and increments the session score counter displayed in the header UI.

Audio feedback integrates three discrete control channels: background music looping, discrete sound effect triggers on tap events, and haptic vibration pulses synchronized with successful matches. Each channel operates independently via toggle switches and linear volume sliders accessible through the settings gear icon. The audio subsystem respects system-level volume controls and Do Not Disturb modes as per Android OS standards.

Visual rendering utilizes high-contrast color palettes derived from casino aesthetics—deep purples, magentas, and golds against dark backgrounds ensure readability across varied ambient lighting conditions. Card backs feature ornate burgundy patterns with purple diamond motifs and gold borders, while revealed faces display standard playing card iconography with traditional suit symbols rendered in red and black for maximum differentiation.
